I’m Vanda, with Love, Express Your No-Self.

I am a nomad who was born in Lisbon. I left around the age of 25 or 26 and have been traveling and living abroad ever since. The most transformative experience was spending 15 years in Goa, India. I’ve also lived in South France and Berlin, and I’ve traveled throughout Asia, drawing inspiration from Nepal, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia. Brazil and various European countries have also had a significant impact on me. I adore the blend of cultures, the thrill of the unknown, and the allure of the exotic.

The love for sewing and the gift of creation came from my grandmother. From a young age, I would transform my sisters’ clothes, often without their knowledge—surprise, surprise! 😊

As I began making my own clothing, my friends encouraged me to design for others. Fortunately, I found a partner and mentor, the remarkable artist João Sucena de Matos, who is no longer with us. He taught me the techniques and inspired me to broaden my horizons. Together, we moved from Portugal to Barcelona and later to Goa.

I have showcased my work in fashion shows across Barcelona, Goa, South France, Ibiza, Brussels, and Porto. My art is deeply intertwined with self-development and healing. My creative process begins with meditation, pondering the Universe, and incorporating Celtic symbols, crop circles, sacred geometry, and the I-Ching. Amidst the threads, shapes, and colors, I find my answers.

I am also a certified energy healer, with nearly two decades of study and practice. I owe this gift to my teacher and healer, Patrick San Francisco, whom I met in Goa in 2006. This website marks my return to fashion after a seven-year hiatus.

Now, I trust that the Universe will reveal what is meant to be expressed. This is what I mean by “no self”—there are no others, only one: the Universe. I sense that my inspiration comes from another planet, another galaxy, flowing through me as I remain present and allow my hands to create. I hope you enjoy my journey!
